Scammers distribute malware under the guise of a "mobile version" of Cyberpunk 2077 to extort money

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 cannot be called very successful - a large number of bugs and poor optimization prevent many from enjoying the game to the fullest. But it still became one of the fastest-selling story games in history, with 13 million copies sold in 10 days of release. Scammers decided to take advantage of this popularity.

Ill-wishers are actively distributing fake "mobile versions" of Cyberpunk 2077. Of course, behind them lies malware that extorts money from those who install it. It works according to the old principle: it encrypts all data on a mobile device, requiring money for decryption.

Of course, first of all, this type of fraud is designed for inattentive users who do not actively follow the gaming industry. Earlier in the year, the same trick was used on PC, publishing a "pirated version" of Cyberpunk 2077 for impatient gamers.
